Subaru Ayase is a nationally beloved actress known for her exceptional talents in the arts, academics, and athletics. Her son, Yuu Ayase, however, is an ordinary boy who falls below average in everything he tries. People have always placed high expectations on him because of his mother—only to be disappointed.
After the death of his mother, who was his only family, Yuu is taken in by an acquaintance. That household turns out to be home to the Three Imperial Sisters (Teinou San-shimai)—three prodigies who each top their class in the prestigious Saika Academy, a school with elite divisions for the arts, sports, and academics.
Yuu begins a new life living under the same roof with the three genius sisters. They immediately look down on him and call him a "useless nobody." But Yuu, determined to fulfill his late mother's last wish—"Please build a happy family"—starts making a sincere effort.
As the days go by, the sisters gradually begin to open their hearts to Yuu.
This is the story of how an average boy and three genius sisters slowly learn to become a family under one roof.
