spilling out of the smashed bottle
+
slowly spreads out on my toes.
+
As this unfamiliar map melts down,
+
I begin sketching my own map.
+
Something is awakening.
+
While hiding a knife at my bosom,
+
wearing poisonous lip gloss,
+
and covering myself with sweet-smelling flowers,
+
I wish to change into a new person from today on.
+
I'll bid my tepid past farewell with a gun.
+
I wish to escape out of this world of mirrors
+
I don't care if I cannot return,
+
for I merely wish to see the unknown outside world.
+
Shattering the chains on my doorknob,
+
I dash out into the magenta morning.
+
As if to pierce a glossy apple
+
I throw a dart at the globe model.
+
With a whispering voice,
+
I ask my heels to please take me to some place faraway
+
without any particular destination in mind.
+
Shredding the dress of darkness,
+
wearing hair ornaments that double up as weapons,
+
I want to assume the persona of a one-night butterfly
+
boldly and to my own liking.
+
I wonder what that rainbow would taste like.
+
Please tell me, Candy drops,
+
just for what kind of love is that bird chirping?
+
It flies off towards the other side of the barbed wire
+
I've started running. Oh my mind
+
I've started moving. Oh my life
+
I won't give myself up to anyone.
+
I wish to escape out of this world of mirrors
+
I don't care if I cannot return,
+
for I merely wish to see the unknown outside world.
+
Shatter the chains on that doorknob,
+
and please, don't stop.
+
I wonder what that rainbow would taste like.
+
Please tell me, Candy drops,
+
just for what kind of love is that bird chirping?
+
Even farther, and even higher,
+
it will flap its wings and fly into a brand new sky,
+
into the radiant magenta morning.
