After losing a leg during his early days as an adventurer, he retired and made his way back to his rural hometown. Engaging in tasks like gathering medicinal plants, eliminating magical creatures and wild beasts, and assisting villagers with farming duties, it becomes a conundrum whether to label our main character an adventurer or a jack-of-all-trades. As the years tick away, he finds himself edging closer to the age of thirty.
During a herb-hunting expedition in the mountains, he stumbles upon an abandoned child. Unable to leave the child to fate, he brings the youngster home and raises them, all the while inching toward his fortieth birthday.
Now a matured young woman, his daughter aspired to follow her father's path as an adventurer, likely inspired by his exploits. He had taught her swordsmanship from a tender age for self-defense, and her aptitude in it proves remarkable. Recognizing that confining her to a rural life might not be the best choice, he sends her off to the Capital's adventurer's guild.
Fast forward five more years, and the protagonist, now in his forties, persists in his role as a pseudo-adventurer in the countryside. However, his daughter, having ascended to the prestigious rank of an S-Class adventurer, has yet to return home even once.
