In the near future, 17-year-old Ayaha Sakayori, a high school student at a top Tokyo school, balances a hectic life of classes and part-time jobs. Her only escape is watching the streams of Yachiyo Tsukimi, a popular virtual performer and administrator of the online world Tsukuyomi.
One day, Ayaha discovers a glowing, rainbow-colored gaming pole—and finds an adorable baby emerging from it. She takes the child home, only to watch her rapidly grow into a girl Ayaha’s own age. “Could you be Princess Kaguya?” she wonders.
The mischievous Kaguya demands Ayaha’s help in Tsukuyomi, where Ayaha produces music and Kaguya performs as a streamer. As the two grow closer, a dark presence looms—threatening to drag Kaguya back to the Moon. This is the tale of Princess Kaguya as never seen before.
